This card has been made using leek paper. The vegetable is boiled for about three hours in washing soda, cleaned and then mixed with pulped down recycled paper. The background square is made using a small amount of leek and the Christmas tree of mainly leek. If the paper is made of only vegetable fibre, it would be very brittle, so recycled paper is added to give it some pliability. The hand-made paper has been glued to grey stock card.
